The forum owner has full control in the API to post on behalf of the users. OAuth can be used, however, to verify people who post in the forums.

Hi,

I have an important question regarding OAuth authentication for the creation of new comments:
Who has to authenticate? Is it the forum's owner that needs to authenticate and allow his website (and its users) to post to a forum? Or is it the person that wants to post something to a forum?

Our PHP library will be developed soon, but in the meanwhile you can check out http://code.google.com/p/oauth... and http://github.com/uservoice/us... The PHP library with examples is definitely something we have to release soon.
