This would be great if it worked, but it doesn't. I am getting a box full of notifications on how much the Mafia wars game on Yahoo doesn't work, & there is no way to turn them off. When I click on the "Settings" link under my name, it reloads the page. I can change my password, but that's it.
There is no way to turn off these messages.

One of the biggest problems with email marketing is that people are just so quick to hit the spam button. I was reading a report just the other day that said people only respond and take action on 1 out of every 12 million spam emails. That is a pretty poor conversion rate for any advertising medium.
Either way, I think you are in the clear so long as you have the proper links and credits in place so that people can opt out of further communications.
Great advice! I need to diversify my “streams” outside of real estate. Property investing is what we know best, but the more stream of income the better.
