Open ID is a great way to encourage blog postings. Imagine if you are Mr. Joe Active Internet User and have to remember a thousand different user names for a thousand different blogs. Services like this are great because they encourage socialability (is that a word) on the web.

I've never even thought about commenting till now. I guess if I really like a post I find myself checking the external links for

more and favoriting (if that is a word) the post instead.
From now on though I'll definitely try and drop a comment every so often.

Hi UserVoice team,

Just to let you know I just had a problem while signing up on your website with my OpenID account from myopenid.com: after logging in on myopenid.com to accept login.uservoice.com I returned to the UserVoice sign-up form. It required me to select a username (I chose maxxyme) and the other field (email address) was already filled up with my email address; I clicked the "sign-up" and got an error because I didn't specified a password... thought I didn't had too... seems wired as I signed-up with an OpenID ...?!
